Correcting Errors

Here is a video of an EFL teacher in Madrid who gives recommendations on how to correct certain errors made by Spanish speaking students.
Based on what we have read in this course, would you agree or not with his suggestions? Provide your reasons and maybe examples to back up your comment.

Hi Stephen, I'm an Argentinian teacher training student who's living in Ceuta. Since I have no job I decided to give private lessons at home... but every time my students come to class with a translation such as "write in english the verb TENER in interrogative form with its translation... I wonder... is that meaningful learning? I can´t see any sense in that. Will you (or anybody) please tell me why do these teachers still "teach" this way?
